Electrical & audio-visual installations for interactive exhibition
Macmor is proud to have provided the stunning lightning and audio-visual installations for the new “Day and Night on the Reef” interactive exhibit at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. The $5 million interactive exhibit is the largest Great Barrier Reef display in the world. In close work with the team of over 100 people, Macmor Sydney delivered high-quality and state-of-the-art installations with highest safety standards.
The construction of the immersive and engaging exhibit took 7 months in total and stayed on schedule. It opens 24th of November 2018. “Sea Life Sydney Aquarium is entering a new phase of innovation with this new interactive experience bringing to life the magic of the Great Barrier Reef. I am incredibly proud of what the team has created and can’t wait to officially open the doors and welcome our guests to the exciting new addition to our aquarium this summer. ” said Richard Dilly, Sea Life Sydney General Manager.
Some of the features include:
- “Glowing” coral garden in night lights
- Lighted up aquariums for jellyfish
- Interactive, “bioluminescent” shore that lights up on touch
- Interactive digital display with motion sensors
- Projection mapping of the life-cycle of a turtle
